Corify Care’s CEO and researcher, Andreu Climent has been proclaimed winner in the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Awards for the development of ‘Acorys’, a medical device that helps in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.
These EIT Awards ceremony, showcases the achievements of successful graduates, entrepreneurs and innovators supported by the EIT Community, celebrating the leading entrepreneurial talent including women innovators, start-ups, scale-ups, and innovative projects that Europe has to offer .
The researcher has won the EIT Innovators award, which recognizes the importance of teams and people who have developed high-impact products and services. Climent celebrated the award – which was announced yesterday – and expressed that “the support of the European Institute of Technology for the Corify project, valuing it in the Innovator of the Year Award, is an enormous boost that helps us to continue go ahead and make our research available to all patients with cardiac arrhythmias as soon as possible.” This award, he pointed out, is “the result of the hard work of a huge team of people working hard, from Corify, ITACA at the UPV, the Gregorio Marañon Hospital, Genesis Biomed and so many other agents who are helping us.”
The EIT Awards stands out the most talented entrepreneurs in Europe who drive solutions to the urgent challenges facing the continent in issues such as climate, energy, food, health and raw materials. They include five categories, provide an incentive for the work of entrepreneurs and promote innovation with a European stamp.
