What if we could predict and prevent sudden cardiac death? Corify Care takes a bold step with the APOLO Project

Corify Care is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a highly competitive grant from the National Research Agency following the Proyectos de Colaboración Público-Privada call. This funding, up to 2,5Meuros, has been allocated to support the APOLO project (Prevention and treatment of sudden cardiac death based on high-precision cardiac mapping: personalized outcomes through optimized localization).

The APOLO project is a joint effort between Corify Care S.L., Fundació de Recerca Clínic Barcelona – Institut d’investigacions biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer, ADAS3D Medical, and the Universitat Politècnica de València. This dynamic collaboration brings together leading experts in biomedical research, medical imaging, and technological innovation to address a major challenge in cardiology—sudden cardiac death and arrhythmia treatment.

Transforming Cardiac Care Through High-Precision Mapping

The primary objective of APOLO is to develop a next-generation cardiac mapping system that integrates structural and functional heart data. This system will leverage personalized digital cardiac twins to support clinicians in preventing and treating cardiac arrhythmias.

APOLO project will be the first of its kind to:

  • Combine structural (e.g., fibrosis) and functional (e.g., electrical properties) heart data in both ventricles volumetrically (i.e., endo-epicardially).
  • Estimate a patient’s arrhythmia probability and simulate optimal treatment strategies, enabling targeted and efficient interventions.
  • Enhance patient outcomes and quality of life, improve the efficacy of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac ablation therapies, and contribute to reducing healthcare costs.

A Step Towards Personalized Cardiac Medicine

By integrating advanced imaging technologies, computational modeling, and clinical expertise, APOLO is set to revolutionize the way cardiac arrhythmias are diagnosed and treated. This project represents a major step forward in personalized cardiac medicine, ensuring that treatments are tailored to the specific needs of each patient for better long-term outcomes.

At Coprify Care, we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformative initiative. Stay tuned for updates as we work towards shaping the future of cardiac care.
